GOP Talking Points spotted in Rochester NY
Democrat & Chronicle: Pataki ally: Schumer has anti-Catholic bias New York’s Conservative Party chairman, who has strong ties to Gov. George Pataki, charged Monday that Democratic Sen. Charles Schumer has an “ anti-Catholic bias” when it comes to federal judicial nominees.
Mike Long, the Conservative Party chairman, recycled the "Catholics need not apply" image in his remarks on Schumer. The attack is preposterous enough that even former Republican Congressman Guy Molinari from Staten Island said, " As a Roman Catholic myself, I’m outraged by what my friend Mike Long had to say about Chuck Schumer. ... There is no place in the real political world for this kind of stuff."
