Three strikes, he's out.
Perhaps Bush would call it "a trifecta": no Osama, no Saddam, no WMD.
But Michael Moore has a fine piece called "Three Easy Pieces for Any Decent American," which I highly recommend. I particularly like the section What Would $87B Buy?
- It would cover all the state budget deficits. Couldn't do that, though. Then why would people want to recall Gray Davis, right?
- It would pay the 3.3 million people who have lost jobs under the Bush Administration $26,363 each.
- It is more than double the entire budget for Homeland Security.
- It is 87 times what the Federal government spends on after-school programs.
- It is more than 10 times what the Federal government spends on all environmental protection.
- And an additional one for me, it is approximately 7 times what we spend on foreign aid. Billions for the defense of lies, 15 cents for the hungry?
