Someone at the Beeb went through Social Security records and found, among other things,
- 22 girls named Infiniti
- 55 boys named Chevy
- 5 girls named Celica
- 7 boys were named Del Monte
- 49 boys named Canon
- 300 girls named Armani
- 6 boys named Timberland
- 7 boys named Denim
- 6 boys named after Courvoisier cognac
- 2 boys, one in Michigan and one in Texas, called ESPN
According to psychology professor Cleveland Evans, "It is no different from the 19th century when parents named their children Ruby or Opal... it reflects their aspirations."
